The short version: Riselock is designed with privacy at its core. All your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or sell your personal information.
Our Privacy Commitment
Riselock is built on a simple principle: your morning routine is your business. We've designed the app to work entirely on your device without requiring accounts, cloud storage, or data collection.
Data That Stays on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your iPhone and never leaves your device:
- Your morning routine tasks and settings
- Wake time and schedule preferences
- App blocking preferences and selected apps
- Streak and completion history
- Journal entries (if you use the journaling task)
- Location data for location-based tasks (stored locally only)
Data We Don't Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Usage analytics or behavior tracking
- Location history
- Photos or selfies (processed on-device, never uploaded)
- Voice recordings (processed on-device for voice tasks)
- Any data about which apps you block or use
Screen Time API
Riselock uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to block apps. This API is privacy-preserving by design:
- App tokens are opaque - we cannot see which specific apps you select
- Blocking is enforced by iOS, not our servers
- No app usage data is transmitted anywhere
Subscriptions
If you purchase a Riselock subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only:
- Confirmation that you have an active subscription
- The subscription expiration date
We do not receive your name, email, payment details, or Apple ID.
Third-Party Services
Riselock does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app works entirely offline after installation.
Data Deletion
You can delete all your Riselock data at any time through Settings > Data > Delete All Data. This permanently removes all locally stored data from your device. Since we don't store any data on servers, there's nothing else to delete.
Children's Privacy
Riselock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify users through the app. Material changes will be highlighted clearly.
